On Sunday, December 7th, Bruce Broughton’s Suspect Folktunes was premiered by the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony under the directon of Dr. Scott A. Stewart. The piece, comprising five melodies which “may or may not be actual folk tunes,” received a rousing reception from the audience.

The concert began with Broughton’s Celebration overture and ended with another Broughton premiere, this time as a final encore, the holiday Falalalala Fanfare, based on the carol “Deck the Halls.”
