To inaugurate its new season at the Granada Theatre, the Santa Barbara Symphony promises a spectacular venue, opening with Bruce Broughton’s “Fanfares: Mosaic for Orchestra,” an original work commissioned specifically for this historic concert by the Santa Barbara Symphony.
Broughton’s Fanfares will be followed by Beethoven’s rich and elegant Triple Concerto featuring the Perlman-Schmidt-Bailey Trio and Mahler’s haunting and transcendent First Symphony, “Titan.” Nir Kabaretti will conduct the program.
Grand Opening Concert dates are October 25 & 26, 2008. To purchase single tickets or a subscription, please visit the Santa Barbara Symphony website.
